| Private DSL is a secure, private network solution that brings together privacy and security with cost effective technology. By routing DSL traffic over our national private network companies are able to reduce the cost of connectivity and retain the same reliability as private circuit solutions.
The service uses L2TP (Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol) - rather than being dependent on Layer 3 (the IP layer) - offering a higher level of management and security of the network.
If public Internet access is required at any of or all of the sites in the network this can be centralised at either the key end user site or one of the 186K data centre’s. This access can then be channelled through a single router resulting in the requirement for only one firewall with one rule set and not at each site further improving security and cost saving.
